Tracing Katunic family
Looking for information on Katunic family members who lived in Bubncarci, which is on the Slovenia-Croatia border. Ivan Katunic was born in 1891 and his brother Anton Katunic was born in 1894, both emigrated to US, but Anton likely returned to Slovenia or Croatia. Will be visited the area in a few months and would like to contact any relatives. Thank you--

Surnames: Kostelec, Stephanic, Stajdohar & Colnar
Researching above names. Ancestors immigrated to Joliet, Illinois, USA before 1897. Anton Kostelec married Marija Stephanic on 3 February 1897 in Joliet. Would love to correspond with anyone who is researching these names. Anton states he is from Selo on his application for marriage license while Marija states she is from Podgrad.

Crnomelj Research
I am currently researching the Ulesich/Ulasich family who immigrated from Crnomelj. Matthais Ulasich was born in Crnomelj on September 29, 1856. Can anyone give any advice as to researching church/birth records for the area in the mid 1850's.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
