Sodja, Zagar, Spehar, Mihelic

My family Sodja came from Mackovec pri Suhorju to the USA about 1886. I am looking for the family of Barbara Zagar (my great grandmother, born 23 April 1869) and Katarina Zagar (botn August 1865), her sister. I believe they are from somewhere in Bela Krajina. I believe their parents' names are John Zagar and Marie Horvath. Katarina's husband was Mathias Spehar. The widow Mary Mihelic and her two children lived with Katherina and Mathias for many years in Anaconda, Montana. I do not know if the Mihelics are family or not. I will be visiting Slovenia in September and hope to find the villages of my ancestors. Thank you for your help.

the name ZALEC

I see some posts here for my name and my parents are from Bela Krajina in Slovenia. My father was from Dalnje Njive and I was lucky enough to have spent many holidays there and around there growing up. I know quite a bit from my heritage; my father's family and the like and though he has passed away, my mother is from a neighbouring village and knows a great deal of the history and people from around there. If anyone is interested, please feel free to email me and I would be happy to see if I can help you in your searches.
