Bela krajina genealogy search

Linda Craig
My Father was helped by Partisans at Semic during WW11. In 1944 he escaped from a German POW camp in Austria. He died five years ago and told me little of his story but as his only child I have always been affected by what happened to him in the war. Now I have begun to research and realised that hundreds of British and other nationalities were helped by partisans in the Bella Krajina area of Slovenia. Is there anyone who can tell me more? I would be especially interested to talk to families of partisans. I hope to visit in the near future and see this beautiful place for myself as I feel I owe a big debt to the people of Bella Krajina. Yours with love
